Another day

Driving to north wash we stopped and scouted a possiblle slot. Looks very good, we need to come back and do it when the weather is better. Will spend the rest of the trip in north wash. Everyone bailed for Monday and Tuesday so I may come home Saturday night instead.

Scorpion East

Today we did half of scorpion east. It was hot and the slot shallow and in full blazing sun. We finally said forget it and exited back to the car. Heading to north wash tomorrow to gear up for rain.

Did the potholes at the beginning of clear creek canyon. It was a lot of splashy fun. Long drive for a short canyon but very cool. Tomorrow we will do raven.

Still alive

We did neon canyon yesterday then started the hike to Choprock and did a check of the weather... Hmmm, up to 30% chance of rain. And Choprock has no escapes. We had a hard time deciding what to do since it is my favorite canyon ever but decided we better bail. It didn't rain on us but we could see rain around us in the distance. Better to make sure we stay alive and not do the canyon. It will still be there to come back to. I'm in town now and will sleep in and go to church in the morning before meeting Dave and penny tomorrow evening.

Almost forgot to post tonight. Did paradiso today, it was most excellent! Doing inferno tomorrow and will probably rim walk another prospect down from devils thumb. It looks short but then again so do all the Dante's.
